the traces of stone

I applied stone-rubbing techniques in to this exhibition, to elaborate "the traces".

the traces of space

When we communicate with multiple digital devices much more than in-person interactions, the devices are where we leave the emotions and traces of actions. We used to express by writings, now we express by devices, apps and social medias.

That's why I call it "our modern encountering". 當代離騷

the traces of times

I spent a year to experiences my changes by painting down the 24 solar terms. This is to mimic how farmers grow their produces, and how they live their life by the wisdom weather system back in the old days.

The space was decorated as an imaginary, virtual reading rooms, 虛擬石境

The first floor is where I work and where all messages being carved out as stone seals. The messages on the wall as a metaphor of sending the signals to the internet, aka to the unknown world. There is a reading desk displayed my tools, devices, stuffs relates to this series, and etc. The second floor is where I let all possibilities coming true. All paintings and collections of my stones are displayed here.
